P68 RNA helicase mediates PDGF-induced epithelial mesenchymal transition by displacing Axin from [beta]-catenin
Article Abstract:
The mechanism by which phosphor-p68 promotes [beta]-catenin nuclear translocation was determined to test whether the interaction between the phosphor-p68 and [beta]-catenin is required. The results suggest that, upon interaction with [beta]-catenin, the phosphor-p68 displaced Axin-GSK-3[beta] from the cytoplasmic [beta]-catenin complex, facilitating [beta]-catenin nuclear translocation.

A minicircuitry comprised of microRNA-223 and transcription factors NFI-A and C/EBP alpha regulates human granulopoiesis
Article Abstract:
MicroRNAs play an important role in animals and plants by controlling translation and stability of specific target mRNAs whereas human granulocytic differentiation is controlled by a regulatory circuitry involving miR-223 and two transcriptional factors, NFI-A and C/EBPalpha. Some microRNAs show ubiquitous express, while others are limited to certain tissues and cell types.
